EFT INTERMEDIATE LEVEL CERTIFICATION EXAM

INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend that you print this page for your reference during the exam.

After you read these instructions, proceed to the login page to begin your exam

System Requirements: This exam is designed to run on Internet Explorer. There have been errors on other browsers, so be sure you are running Internet Explorer 6.0 or above before you begin. If not, close your internet connection now and login using Internet Explorer.

Practitioner Requirements: This Certification is only valid if you have been using EFT for at least TWO YEARS and have done at least 200 individual sessions, and you will need to satisfy these requirements before you take the exam. Please be advised that we may contact you for verification of these requirements and to confirm your knowledge of the exam material.

Login: When you purchased the exam, you were given a login username and a password. Please have those ready and login at the appropriate screen.

Time: You will have three hours to complete the exam. As soon as you log in, your three hours will begin. As soon as you click the final link to submit your exam, it will be graded and any additional time on the exam clock will be forfeited. Your score will be reported to you instantly.

If you get disconnected: If you get disconnected from the site for any reason during your exam, you can simply sign back in and continue your exam. However, because this is an automated exam, the clock will keep running even if you are not connected, so it would be a good idea to have a backup computer and/or internet connection available during the exam.

Using Notes: The exam is open book, and you are welcome to consult your notes and videos if you choose. However, you will only have 3 hours to complete the exam, so your extra time will be limited.

Test Questions: There are 75 multiple choice questions, presented in two sections as described below. You must complete both sections in one sitting.

The exam sections are as follows:

  • Section 1: 40 questions - Intermediate Library Tutorials #1-10 and Borrowing Benefits Instructional Videos
  • Section 2: 35 questions - Borrowing Benefits Videos

Helpful Hints: Be sure you answer the questions from the video, tutorial, and study guide material only. We cannot test on your personal style or instruction you may have received elsewhere.

Navigation: There are five questions on each page of the exam and you can navigate through those pages using the links in the top right corner. Do not use the back button to navigate through the pages. If you use it by mistake, there will be instructions to get you back to the exam, but they will look like computer errors and may be confusing.

Skipping Questions: Each question also has a button to "Skip this question". All skipped questions will be presented for your review at the end of each section and again at the end of the exam.

Exam Feedback: During your exam, if you find a question you would like to report as confusing or unfair, please make a note of the section, page number and question number only (ie: section 1, page 6, third question). We have already requested that you do not keep records of the exam, so please do not copy the entire question in writing. We can identify any question easily with your name, the page number, and the question number. Once you complete the exam, you can send your feedback on individual questions to cert@emofree.com with any additional comments, and please be sure to include your name.

Passing the Exam:

  • You must score at least 85% (64 correct answers) to pass the exam.
  • Your score will be reported to you immediately upon completion of the exam.
  • Once your score is reported, you will be prompted to confirm your name as you would like it to appear on the certificate and your mailing address.
  • Your certificate will be sent via USPS Priority Mail within a week.
  • Keep track of your login information. It will allow you to submit your new listing on our website if you don’t already have one.
  • If you do already have a listing on our website, your Certification level will be updated automatically. If your listing has not been updated automatically, please send an email to cert@emofree.com and we will do it manually.

Not Passing the Exam:

  • If you do not pass the exam, and missed fewer than 20 questions, you will be provided with a list of those questions and a source for the answer of each question.
  • If you missed 20 questions or more you will be provided with a summary of the video content that you need to study in more detail before you try again.
  • If you do not pass the exam, you will get a second try without an additional payment. You will receive a new login at the conclusion of the exam.
  • You must complete your second try within 30 days or you will forfeit the opportunity to try again for free.
  • If you fail the exam a second time, you will not be able to try again for 6 months, and you will be required to pay the fee again before a third try will be allowed.
  • Please note that no two exams are alike, so any information provided at the end of an exam is purely for your reference and may not apply to your next attempt.

Printing, Copying or Duplicating the Exam: Printing, copying or duplicating this exam in any way is a violation of copyright and compromises the security of the exam process. Any page that can be printed will have a "Print this Page" link. All others have been disabled. For your reference, discussing the exam is also considered a form of duplication, and will be grounds for terminating your certification. Thanks for your cooperation.
